Sherwood:The fruit is very dense and sweet. Tree is very narrow and upright with leaves that are weeping in habit.
Silverhill:An elongated fruit like a chili. Virtually spineless.
Si-Hong:Excellent, large, round fruit. Mid season ripening. ONE OF THE BEST FOR FRESH EATING. Also good processed or dried
Li: Large round fruit up 3 ounces in mid-Mar. May be picked at the yellow-green stage. Best eaten fresh. Best single tree to have. Early fruiting
Suimen (Ming Tsao): Fruit is elongated and fairly good fresh but even better dried or processed. Mid-season ripening
Chico (Tun Ku Yu Tsao) : Fruit is round but flattened to an unusual shape, looks like an apple. Excellent, sweet taste.Excellent either fresh or dried.
Tajan (Hu Ping Tsao) : Large, pear-shaped fruits which must be fully colored to be best eating. Tree is upright and virtually spineless
Thornless: pear-shaped fruit similar to Tajan, It is virtually thornless.
SHANXI LI: Extremely large fruit with great flavor. this one being from Shanxi province and one of the best.
Lang: Large, pear-shaped fruit which must be fully colored to be best eating. This fruit is best to let dry on the tree. Tree is upright and virtually spineless.This is not considered a fresh eating variety, good for soup.
Redlands: Very large, sweet, round fruit, very much like Li variety.
