Job description

The role
The Digital Sales Manager is responsible for delivering sales outcomes across all digital channels covering website, mobile, tablet and secure banking. They will be a highly analytical individual who has a deep understanding of web analytics tools (e.g. Omniture Site Catalyst or Google Analytics) in order to extract trends and inform data-led decisions which result in increased sales. They will have a strong background in conversion rate optimisation (CRO), producing content, user experience as well as a good understanding of SEO.
The role will report to a Senior Manager, Digital Sales and will support the implementation of the vision and sales plan in order to drive the customer buying transformation of Digital in Westpac.
They will be responsible for driving relationships across the wider business, notably with Product, Marketing, Contact Centres and IT teams and will need to be able to influence change at senior levels in the organisation to drive out the objective of increasing business sales across digital channels.
This is a multi-brand role focussed on driving the Credit Card and Lending portfolios across Westpac, St.George, Bank of Melbourne and BankSA.
Your accountabilities will include:
• Actively monitor web trend data in order to inform the development of initiatives which grow sales of business products on Westpac.com.au (online & mobile)
• Scope out requirements and develop business cases to justify additional activity within the digital space
• Produce sales initiative roadmaps for Business credit cards and Business loans portfolios and ensure roadmaps are socialised with internal stakeholders
• Conduct regular commercial sizing of opportunities identified to ensure initiatives are prioritised according to business priorities and allocation of budget available
• Develop and implement a continuous improvement strategy to optimise sales pathways, ensure the best customer experience and minimise leakage across the portfolio
• Take the lead in developing an engaging digital experience for customers across search, content, interactive tools, forms, calculators and fulfilment processes
• Keep up to date with industry best practice, customer research and competitor activity
• Drive change through strong influencing and negotiation skills, manage peer relationships and gain buy-in through presentation at senior management level
• Ensure effective engagement, alignment, influence and support of Product, Marketing, Customer Experience, Contact Centre and Technology teams to achieve sales, conversion, and growth targets
• Achieve (and exceed) sales targets for Westpac Business Growth portfolios covering the following channels; public site, Business Online banking, Mobile & Tablet
• Regularly report on key sales results with wider business stakeholders and ensure remedial actions and/or growth strategies are in place to recover/grow sales performance

What you need to succeed
• 5 years in sales, marketing or product roles
• 3 years experience in digital roles
• Post-graduate qualifications in business related disciplines
• Proven track record of delivering and exceeding business KPIs
• Knowledge of Omniture SiteCatalyst / Google Analytics
• Experience of AB/ MV testing to drive sales and conversion outcomes
• Experience in marketing and CRM based roles, evidence of managing customer targeted marketing programmes
• Digitally astute, understands the latest trends in digital and is able to apply this knowledge to provide innovative recommendations to drive online sales performance
• Highly analytical, able to get to grips with detailed web trend data analysis (Omniture/Google Analytics) and produce actionable recommendations which result in sales uplift
• Excellent delivery and coordination skills and able to implement initiatives according to agreed timescales and scope requirements
• Experience of managing relationships across multiple stakeholders (Legal, Compliance, Product, Marketing, Digital Production)
• Proficient at business casing and producing sales forecasts
• Resilience and ability to navigate ambiguity. Shows flexibility in a dynamic environment with a fast rate of change.
• Experience in leading people to meet commercial goals
• Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate, to contribute and create effective teamwork in a constantly changing environment
• Ability to present across the organisation both verbally and in various written formats
• Proven ability to deliver to project milestones
• Preferable experience in business/SME segment and/or financial services
