澳洲葡萄酒业相关世界排名
· 葡萄产量：第十（中国包括台湾地区排名第五）

澳大利亚究竟有多少家葡萄酒生产厂家？
2004年 澳洲和新西兰葡萄酒工业指导列出了1789家公司销售葡萄酒，与1996年的892家比翻了两番。
维多利亚州的葡萄酒公司最多。69.7%的生产商年产少于100吨. 澳洲过半的葡萄酒生产厂家建立于1990年之后.13家有超过150年的经营历史.
几乎所有的酒厂都生产TABLE WINE（进餐时喝的淡葡萄酒），少于30%的生产汽酒和加酒精的葡萄酒。过半数的酒厂有出口业务，多数都年产量大于20吨。
四大葡萄酒厂的产品占整个澳洲葡萄酒生产的65%。
葡萄酒工业主要受5家葡萄酒集团控制： Southcorp Wines, Hardy Wine Company, Orlando Wyndham, Beringer Blass 和 McGuigan Simeon Wines.
目前澳洲前四的酒厂是：（括号里是他们的主打品牌）
· BRL Hardy (Berri Estates, Hardys)
· Southcorp (Penfolds, Lindemans)
· Orlando Wyndham Group (Jacob's Creek, Wyndham Estate) 和
· Beringer Blass (Wolf Blass, Annie's Lane)
前22名葡萄酒生产厂家占有全国瓶装和有标牌葡萄酒销售的89%。其中光Southcorp Wines 和 Hardy Wine Company 两家公司就占有42%。而前22名大厂占89%. 其他1,776家酒厂则只能竞争余下的11%.
澳洲前20名的葡萄酒生产商拥有或者租用澳洲20%的葡萄园，其中Southcorp Wines是葡萄园规模最大的。
