I'd say "A man's scar is his medal" quite straight forward and accurate, however I suspect there are better translations which reach the stage of "雅译”。

Does “All the world’s money” has any other meaning underneath? it just sounds too straight forward to me.

I heard on radio this morning that a 24-year-old man was stabbed to death in a night club in Melbourne a few days ago. I can’t help feeling for his parents. How heart-broken they must be on hearing this sad news. Even with all the world’s money, they wouldn’t be able to turn the clock back to the night before the unfortunate event happened when their son was still a healthy robust young guy, full of life and energy.
