Job description

Technical Specialist
Position Specification

Position Overview

The core function of this role is to present the professional and friendly face of The Aesthetic Bureau, through high quality and timely technical and logistic support, to a diverse range of business, including third party equipment support and, service and maintenance.

Typical work activities

· Provide exceptional customer service by meeting and exceeding customer needs and commitments.

    Represent the company professionally, honestly and ethically
    Taking ownership of customer issues reported and seeing problems through to resolution
    Carrying out system service, Quality Assurance (QA), fault diagnosis and maintenance
    Researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting and identifying solutions to resolve system issues
    Asking customers targeted questions to quickly understand the root of the problem
    Where appropriate, schedule site visit (local or interstate) or system/item pick up (and return) for system service, maintenance or installation. Including management and installation of loan systems where used and approved
    Following standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal team members and managers
    Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers

· Ensure all client promises and deliveries are achieved in a timely manner

    Ensure all issues and reports are properly logged and entered accurately and timely onto Company Customer Resource Management database (CRM)

· Collect and manage all of the customer information on company CRM required for proper scheduling and call maintenance.

    Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
    Follow up with clients to ensure their systems are fully functional after troubleshooting, repair and/or service

· Plan and efficiently manage time to assure maximum productivity.

· Answer customer calls quickly, accurately and pleasantly.

· To establish, maintain and grow existing business customers.

· Prepare for and participate in weekly planning and review meeting with Manager and Director to manage client and business needs and product knowledge. Prepare clear, concise, complete and timely documents and paperwork.

    Support operations and sales for The Aesthetic Bureau and associated businesses as required
    Support, attend and participate at company events, trade shows and information evenings
    Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals

Additional requirements

· Minimum of 3 years external technical support experience.

    Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues.

· Demonstrated experience in the establishment and development of effective, long-term client relationships.

    Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
    Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal.
    Candidate must demonstrate maturity in handling difficult and stressful situations.

· Candidate must be able to work in a team-style setting.

· Candidate needs to be highly organised, detail oriented and able to effectively manage their time.

· Must be skilled in customer service and have the desire to work with others to provide responsive customer service.

· Candidate must be fully PC literate.

· This is a multifaceted position requiring an individual that genuinely cares for the customer and can handle a wide variety of tasks at the same time.

· Candidate must have proven ability to work with minimum supervision.

Licence

    Current unencumbered full drivers licence

Knowledge, skills and abilities

§ Able to perform technical support as required

§ Prepare and maintain records

§ Maintain a good driving record

§ Understand and carry out oral and written directions

§ Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with management, staff, suppliers and others

Computer Skills

Candidates must be fully PC literate including word processing, spreadsheets, internet software, e-mail, order processing and inventory management systems.
