Amazon has a tremendous need for talented Software Development Engineers and many of the talented Engineers at Amazon are from Australia. In the past year, Amazon has made several trips to Down Under and successfully recruited many Software Engineers who relocated to Seattle, WA. Because of this success, Amazon is returning in September 2012 and would love to speak with you about opportunities with our Retail Customer Experience Team (RCX). The RCX team is comprised of multiple teams dedicated to delivering the Internet’s best shopping experience to millions of customers around the world who visit Amazon retail websites. Members of the team will be traveling to Australia to conduct face-to-face interviews.
Working at Amazon, you will have the opportunity to own major deliverables end-to-end, work closely with other teams and scale our services as the business grows while making a positive impact on customer experience. We are seeking Engineers who are willing and able relocate to Seattle, WA (U.S.A.) by the end of this year. Amazon provides an excellent relocation package and visa sponsorship to work in the United States (Must be U.S., Australian, Canadian or Singaporean citizen). All positions offered are full-time employment with Amazon.
Technical skills we are looking for:
3+ years of experience in an object-oriented language such as Java, C++, or C#
3+ years of experience in Perl or other scripting languages desirable
Solid knowledge of website fundamentals such as JavaScript, HTML, XML, and CSS
Strong grasp of data structures and algorithms
Quick learners who enjoy an agile, fast paced environment, and will unwaveringly drive issues to conclusion
Obsession with the customer experience
Linux development experience preferred
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design and complexity analysis
Excellent problem solving skills
