你是experienced staff面试还是graduate?如果是experienced staff面试,PwC Sydney2005年的方式是这样的。第一轮,是跟HR staff,一个manager+一个associate。问题主要还是针对你的communication skills和behaviour,都是经典的面试问题,lz查阅一下论坛上相关文章就好。如果lz以前就在DTT工作,那问题一般不大,公司文化上也应该就没有其他问题,就看语言是否确有问题了。

第二轮是跟business manager,应该要聊些technique问题,就是吹牛,我因为去年年底回国完婚所以错过这轮,但听朋友说就这样的。

可能还有第三轮见partner,老板嘛,基本就是把把关,基本上会给面子manager,哈哈,如果对你没有特别丑陋的印象,就welcome了,老板一个hour那么贵......

it's a junior accountant position. i was working in a local firm here that's why i think it would be very difficult.
i've gone through the headhunter interview.and now is with HR which would have behaviour test, experience test, technical test and corporate background test. it would be for 1 hr for the 4 tests. dont know how they would be asked.

"应该要聊些technique问题,就是吹牛" what do u mean by 吹牛?? do they ask you very detailed questions about what software you are using or what program you are using at work??

They can't test your technique, coz they don't know much about audit.   So focus on the classical behaviour test.  What they care about is your behaviour, whether you are spiritually suitable for the organisation.  Prepare some experience of team work, coaching others or be coached, confliction resolving skill, dealing with customers, challenges, what you proud of, weakness, three words about your strength, your image in your colleagues' mind, your career path expected, integrety, CA qualification problem.......can't remember more than above mentioned.

1. There are a lot of articles talking about the interview questions here, I am sure you can find them, or...please learn how to find them, otherwise, it is really a technical weakness for you if you want to work in Big4.

2. Since you are not working for DTT, they won't require u know much about their audit tools, just ensure you have a good knowledge about LN, Excel, Word and Powerpoint.  If you applied for their risk management team, you should know sth. about SAP, Oracle and network system.  They always ask you tell them some stories, just google some current issues online, the HR people know shit about audit and IT, so don't worry, just entertain them and make them happy with your soft skills.

Don't just memorize what you prepared in the interview, try to perform naturally, be yourself.  Bear in mind, if you don't fit the position or the firm, even you were recruited, you would not be happy.  If you can't work happily, don't stay in Big4, you will be too sick to survive.

i'm applying for the position in tax. I heard it's called growth department with a mix of tax and auditing. I never did any audit stuff before. but for a junior position, i dont think they expect that much. my heathunter has already told them about me including some of my background and personality. Hopefully thats a good start.

I will find out more abt the technical side, but i'm glad that the hr ppl are not so into accounting stuff. i'm not going to fool them but i wont have as much pressure to talk to them then.

I think what i will do is try to be outstanding and let them at least rmember me.hheee.

I can see ur point. i guess whether I will like it I will at least have some ideas by going there for interview tomorrow and the probation later if succeed.

DTT's tax is very good worldwidely...

The interviewer always think they are the best, so tell them u believe they are the best, and let them believe you should be one of them, that's it.

sure, every firm thinks they are the best. i dont think they would want to hire someone who is not proud of his/her own firm.

HR 面试不会有很多专业问题,通常会是PERSONALILTY 方面的多一点,这个就是个人发挥了,有时候答案对不同的HR来说效果也不同。

恩,不过因为这个面试也有关于工作方面的问题,我想可能会比较着重于我的描述来看我个人的能力与性格。

I went there in the morning for 8.30 interview. they asked about my resume and I explained what i've done. and then they asked me a set of behaviour questions. and some general questions eg. notice period, what are you looking at for you next employer, etc.

I called my headhunter at lunch time. she told me they called her and the interview went relatively well. so they are arranging the time for my second interview now which would be with 2 partners.....

anyway, thanks for you guys' support here.

hehe...我现在正在痛苦的挣扎中 :si133  左脑想快快找工要不然就要露宿街头了, 右脑想还是多休息2天吧, 工迟早要做的。 看来是要勤快一点了, 等你好消息, 肯定没问题! 到时候给我点建议 ^_^

parpar will ask you about the salary you expect, do some homework on it.  

Show "can do" spirit!  parpar like the junior who love to take responsibility, and can solve the conflicts in a smart way.

You can goto PwC Australia's website, in graduate recruitment section, u can find quiz, which show you what kind of people PwC looking for, and whether you are one of them, you can finish the quiz and see the answer with comments.  I think it will be helpful for you.

Big4 are very similar, all the parpar are friends, schoolmates, lovers, or relatives, the circle is very small, so PwC's quiz is still valuable.

Thanks, qqyang!! I will go and have a look.

from the hr's feedback i got today from the headhunter. they are saying what i do is still quite different than what deloitte does. I think i can take that since small firms are definitely diff than big ones. also, they said i need to know more about deloitte.(even though they didnt ask me anything at all abt how much i know them at the interview.)

so now i think for the second round, par par would ask me more abt the technical parts which i think would be so diff since i'm doing diff stuff here.  

i like the term "par par".lol

For technical questions, i GUESS ha~~~
1. IFRS new standards.
2. Taxation, especially super related hot topic, capital roll over, etc.!!  These points are SME clients always wanna concern with, and has great potential benefit. (my taxation lecturer said, he just served millionnaires.)
3. Risk focus audit
4. Ethic questions (show your smart!)

There were no standards set for parpar interview, so they just ask what they like to ask, and identify whether they like you.
