As mentioned in another post, annual growth above CPI is about 0.7%.
Better than CPI is already good enough to us normal people. Can you recommend any investment tools that are easy to handle by everyone and can always get higher than CPI return and can last as long as 50-100 years or more? Don't tell me it's stock. As far as I know, much much more people losing money than earning money from stock market. Plus it's not easy for everyone to do it. Plus the risk is higher. Of course, you might be an expert but it does not mean every one is an expert. We are normal people and have limited time and energy.
Plus you should count the rental return of the house. Don't tell me you need to spend 1-2% to maintain it as my friend has more than 5 properties and none of them spend more than 1%. |
