收到幼儿园信了，说是2个孩子确症，但死亡的孩子周二离开幼儿园时还是很正常的，目前看来死因和肠胃炎无关。

Dear Parents
The Little Zak’s Family is deeply saddened and devastated with the news that one of our
young girls who attends our Artarmon Centre tragically passed away on the Sunday 23rd October, 2016.
The young girl left our centre on Tuesday 18th October 2016 happy, healthy,
laughing, and in good spirits. The Public Health Unit advises it is working with specialist
paediatricians to understand the cause of death, but at this stage it appears unrelated to the
gastroenteritis cases.
The Management team and the staff at our Artarmon Centre have been deeply saddened by
this news and our directors have been in contact with the family of the child to convey our
sincerest thoughts and condolences and to offer any support we can.
In addition to this news, we have been advised that, of the 321 children currently attending
the Artarmon Centre, 2 cases of gastroenteritis have been diagnosed. We have followed the
appropriate procedure and notified the Public Health Unit, as well as the parents of the
Artarmon Centre. Amongst all our centres, Artarmon is the largest centre we operate. It is
always in our best interest that the highest level of precaution and sanitation are followed in
all centres. The health and safety of our children is our number one priority and actions and
measures are swiftly taken when any issues arises.
Please be assured all Little Zak’s Academy Centres are fully accredited and compliant with
all health and regulatory requirements, and we endeavour at all times to operate to the
highest standards of care and hygiene. We are, and still will continue to work closely with the
Public Health Unit to ensure these high standards are maintained across all Centres.
It has been confirmed by the Local Health District that the outbreak appears to be under
control and it is safe for children to continue to attend our Artarmon Centre.
We would like to extend our thanks to all parents who have been patient and supportive of
Little Zak’s Academy during this time.
