Congratulations to the class of 2013 for an exceptional set of VCE and ATAR results.
Elton Lee, Justin Lee and Nicholas Liu all scored the maximum possible ATAR of 99.95, and are, therefore,
the duces of Scotch College for 2013
18 boys (7.4% of the cohort) obtained an ATAR of 99.50 or more (top 0.5% in the country)
28 boys (11.5% of the cohort) obtained an ATAR of 99.00 or more (top 1% in the country)
48 boys (19.8% of the cohort) obtained an ATAR of 98.00 or more (top 2% in the country)
80 boys (32.9% of the cohort) obtained an ATAR of 95.00 or more (top 5% in the country)
127 boys (52.2% of the cohort) obtained an ATAR of 90.00 or more (top 10% in the country)
181 boys (74.5% of the cohort) obtained an ATAR of 80.00 or more (top 20% in the country)
The median ATAR was 90.65 (122 of the 243 boys scored 90.65 or better)
There were 25 ‘perfect’ scores of 50 across 13 subjects
Nicholas Liu obtained three scores of 50 (Chemistry, English Language and Mathematical Methods – CAS)
Six boys obtained two scores of 50: Nicholas Fellows (English and Legal Studies), Patrick He (Specialist Mathematics and Mathematical Methods – CAS), Elton Lee (Chemistry and Specialist Mathematics), Yick Hong Leung (Physics and Mathematical Methods - CAS), Harry McCallum (English and Australian History) and George McMahon (Revolutions and Australian History)
