The Swiss Family Robinson
The book I recently, The Swiss Family Robinson, a brilliant novel written by Johann Wyss. A family of 6 marooned on a desert island after a horrible shipwreck, find a way to survive and build a home almost as fantastic as a civilized one. The book's narrator is the father of the family, describing their adventures at this island.
I really enjoyed this book overall, it used descriptive language and interesting adventures worked very well in making this book intriguing. The book is actually based on Robinson Crusoe, another book, with the same setting, and a few more characters. The book also gives you a sense of perfection. That sense of perfection comes from the fact that their new life just seems absolutely perfect, laden with all the perfect supplies they need. I may be superstitious but, I think it's because something bad already happened to them. You see, they've been stranded on a desert island after a shipwreck, with no one to contact from the outside world. So, after bad luck, always comes good luck. But that is only my interpretation.
I rate this book 8/10. The other 2 points I will not give, because the sense of perfection is too much. It doesn't give you much of a complication, and mostly good things happened to the family. But I very much enjoyed this book, and I hope you have the time to read it too. I recommend it for children or teenagers 12 or above.![](static/image/smiley/xt/xt08.gif)
