Use the checklist below to ensure you have all of the required documents:
•DS-160 Nonimmigrant Visa Application confirmation page. This online application form must be completed before your appointment. The confirmation page should show a barcode and a copy of the photo that you uploaded. You must complete a new application at http://www.ustraveldocs.com/au/ each time you apply.
•A copy of your passport bio page.
•Application fee receipt.
• The current valid passport of each applicant. The passport must have two blank facing visa pages. Also bring all previous passports in your possession.
•Appointment confirmation page. This will also have a barcode as well as the details of your appointment time.
• A valid U.S. passport style photo (http://www.ustraveldocs.com/au/au-niv-photoinfo.asp). This is a requirement if the photo you uploaded into your DS-160 form is not on a white background or was not taken within the past 6 months. If you are unsure whether the image you uploaded qualifies, please bring a recent passport photo with you.
•Cash or credit card to pay the reciprocity (issuance) fee, if applicable (http://travel.state.gov/content/ ... -by-country/AS.html) The Consulate has no EFTPOS facilities.
•If you are a spouse or child applying for a visa as a dependent (for example, H4, J2, L2, M2, O3, and P4 visa applicants), bring your marriage and birth certificates from the Registry of Births, Deaths, and Marriages.
• Other required documents (http://canberra.usembassy.gov/step5_niv_process.html) – these vary based on your visa category and individual circumstances.
