要5g有什么用? 只要router的速率不低于NBN的速率就可以了吧----------------无意间看到有个足迹网友的问题

5g有什么用: 5G更适合电脑游戏之类的需要快速网络相应的应用,网络游戏,远程桌面办公和视频会议在5G wifi环境下会最大限度的减少家里的wifi网络延迟; 2.4g更合适手机app or 刷youtube视频之类的普通应用。
区别特点: wifi 5G的网络延迟更短,速度更“快”,带宽更“高”,传输距离更“短”
2.4G 相对5G的优点是穿墙能力强,缺点是带宽低,延迟高-------结果是常可以搜索到邻居家的几十个2.4g信号,互相干扰。
5G 相对2.4G的优点是带宽和低延迟,缺点是穿墙能力弱-------结果常常是穿过两堵墙就没信号,于是就经常听到抱怨: 这新买几百块的新款路由器怎么这么差?怎么还没有原来ISP免费送的路由器信号强?
代表产品:WIFI环境的5G 协议实际上有三种:
第一种是wifi 早期的802.1N ,2009年发布,产品大约是2011年大量上市: 华硕 RT-N56u,N66u系列, Netgear WNDR3700-4500系列
第二种是wifi中期802.1AC ,2012年发布,2014年产品大量上市,华硕RT-AC68u,AC88u系列, netgear R6300-7000-9000 系列-------注: Netgear R7000路由器是美国和澳洲销售量最大的刷第三方固件Tomato的路由器。
第三种是最新的802.1AX ,2019年发布,产品2020大量上市,代表产品华硕 RT Ax86u, netgear AX4, 华为AX3pro, 小米ax3600 红米ax5/ax6 等等
实际体验区别:
在速度上最直观的体现,比如nbn 50M的plan测速speedtest,2.4g经常结果是30M-40Mbps,5G测速结果基本能达到用网线测试的效果,就是43-46Mbps左右。
贴一个典型youtube视频分辨率<>宽带使用要求,下面的带宽都是大约估计的最高平均值,不是精确值。
实际使用中50M宽带普通视频画面大多可以同时播放3个4k视频。
Youtube internet connection requirement:
Video Resolution - Recommended sustained
speed
4K - 20 Mbps
HD 1080p - 5 Mbps
HD 720p - 2.5 Mbps
SD 480p - 1.1 Mbps
SD 360p - 0.7 Mbps
测试:
不用说802.1ac和ax,即使最早期802.1n协议下的5G响应时间和带宽也是比2.4G高很多。
差别可以从电脑用简单的ping命令直观的看出来
开始-运行-输入 cmd 回车,进入命令行 运行命令: ping 192.168.1.1 --假设这个是家用的路由器内部网关地址
在5g(注意路由器使用的是802.1N的5G,不是最新版AX)下结果,可以看到很稳定的time返回值, 平均为2ms,虽然有个别超过10ms的返回值,但是占比很小。

2.4G下运行结果,可以看到返回值经常的跳票,普通视频播放不影响,但是在玩FPS游戏的时候影响很大。
平均值18ms。

家里的wifi channel 覆盖图,软件是inSSIDer 3.1.2.1免费版
左下角为2.4g,可见有33个WiFi信号在互相争抢1/6/11 channel干扰,同时家里的微波炉还有遥控玩具汽车也大多使用2.4g频段。
