39-year-old man, bashed and stabbed six times after having his car rammed in south-west Sydney, knew his attackers, police say.
The victim was driving home along The Boulevarde in Punchbowl when the car behind slammed into him about 6.15pm yesterday, police said.
The cars stopped in nearby Faux Street and the victim got out to talk to the four men in the other car.
Campsie police duty officer Inspector Stephen Newton said the victim knew the four men and had a brief conversation with them before they set on him.
They punched and kicked him, then stabbed him six times in the chest, stomach and leg, he said.
Inspector Newton said police had spoken to the victim but had not yet taken a full statement as he is still receiving treatment in Canterbury Hospital, where he is in a stable condition.
He would not say what the men were arguing about.
At least three people saw the fight and were giving statements to police.
Anyone with any more information should phone Campsie police on 9784 9399 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. |
