酒后驾驶30万澳元法拉利肇事被控 保险公司不予理赔



12月17日星期天傍晚7点左右，在西澳首府佩斯南部Windsor Hotel门外的十字路口，一辆红色法拉利撞上了红路灯灯柱，司机企图逃离现场，被酒店保安和路人合力制服。

这名车主Colin Zampatti今年42岁，是著名时装设计师 Carla Zampatti的侄子。这辆法拉利（Ferrari 360 Spider）是他上月刚刚以$300,000澳元左右购入。

警方已经以醉酒驾驶罪将他控上佩斯地方法庭。据信，事发后他被测出血液里含有的酒精浓度高于法定的三倍。如果法庭审理后裁定他罪名成立，他将面临最低6个月吊销驾照和罚款$800至 $5000元，而他的保险公司将不会受理他的理赔，因为他酒后驾车肇事并被警方起诉。

A MAN who slammed his $300,000 Ferrari into a traffic light outside a Perth hotel has been charged with drink driving.

Colin Zampatti, crashed his Ferrari 360 Spider outside the Windsor Hotel, on the corner of Mends Street and Mill Point Road in South Perth, about 7pm (WDT) on Sunday.

Mr Zampatti, 42, has now been charged with driving under the influence, a charge which only applies over a 0.15 blood alcohol level – three times the legal limit.

He now faces a minimum six months disqualification from driving and fines of between $800 and $5000, a police spokesman said.

It is also understood Mr Zampatti's insurance will not pay for the damage because he has been charged.

A receptionist at a luxury car dealer in Perth says her business sold Mr Zampatti the second-hand car – worth about $300,000 – just last month.

Photos of the crumpled red vehicle taken by witnesses are circulating widely on the internet.

Staff at the Windsor declined to comment on the crash.

Mr Zampatti is expected to appear in Perth Magistrates Court on January 23.

据2008年5月5日《The Age》报道，上周六晚，墨尔本一名年轻人驾驶他父亲的法拉利跑车撞在市中心Rod Laver Arena体育场附近的电灯柱上，汽车前部损毁严重。

It's no fun calling dad after crashing his car - but it's worse when you've just wrecked his rare Ferrari.

A Melbourne man had to make that call on Saturday night after destroying the front-end of his father's 'Italian Stallion' in a very costly smash near Rod Laver Arena.

The front of the red sports car, which police said had been speeding, finished wrapped around a pole in the spectacular accident, which took place on Batman Avenue.

The car appears to be an F360 Challenge Stradale, which are estimated to be worth between $360,000 and $400,000.

The cars were introduced from 2003 and it is understood there are about 12 in Australia

Television news crews filmed the apparently unhurt driver of the Ferrari ringing home, while the vehicle's male passenger was taken to hospital with minor injuries, police said.

The Nine Network last night reported the luxury car had suffered "extensive front-end damage".

据2008年10月28日《 The Adelaide Advertiser》报道，今天中午，在南澳首府阿德莱德Walkerville区Lansdowne街，一辆五年新、价值$250,000澳元的法拉利跑车在民宅区高速狂奔，突然失控，撞上一根电灯柱，几乎切成两截，但车上年轻的司机和副座乘客都安全脱险，自己走出法拉利，然后被送到皇家阿德莱德医院治疗，均没有生命危险。

A YOUNG man wrecked a Ferrari worth a quarter of a million dollars, but escaped serious injury, when he crashed into a Stobie pole at Walkerville today.

The driver and his passenger have been taken to Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment after the accident just before noon.

Both men walked from the wreckage, leaving the expensive five-year-old 360 Modena model  literally wrapped around the pole on Lansdowne Ave.

The car, valued at around $250,000,  crashed a few minutes after residents saw it "zinging" past their homes at high speed.

"I was outside my house talking and we heard something fly up and it was this black Ferrari," said Vlado, who did not give his surname.

"It sounded just like, `zing, zing", as it want past."

Vlado said he walked "two blocks" around the corner when he saw a fire truck arrive to see the Ferrari smashed against the pole.

He said the men were "lucky to be alive".

"The Stobie split the car in two and it's basically up where the gear stick should be," he said.




This $250,000 Ferrari was found wrapped around pole in a residential area in Adelaide.
