Rebecca Lewis attended the protest and says the catch cry of more than one thousand Chinese-Australians was, "No separation, one Tibet." They walked though the city centre to Hyde Park. Organiser Kang Xu says the international media must stop exaggerating reality and the protestors wanted to show a different opinion on Tibet. Placards saying "TV does not equal truth" and "BBC CNN Lies too" were held above a mass of Chinese flags One Sydney University student addressing the crowd, Patrick Zhuge says the international media has much to answer for because: "The biased news reports have already affected the judgement of the warm-hearted Australian people." |
