The scholarships, provided under the new Chancellor’s Scholars Program, will provide students with ATARs of 99.9 or above with a HECS exempt Commonwealth Supported Place and an annual allowance of up to $10,000, as well as a guaranteed pathway to a Commonwealth Supported Place in the graduate study area of their choice.
Students who choose to undertake any study overseas during their University of Melbourne course will also receive a guaranteed Global Mobility Award, worth up to $2500.
In congratulating the first inductees into the Chancellor’s Scholars Program, University of Melbourne Provost Professor John Dewar said the University was both excited and honoured to provide these high-achieving year 12 students with a world-class university experience. “These scholarships will enable the best and brightest students to take full advantage of the range of opportunities on offer here at the University of Melbourne.”
"By providing a guaranteed pathway into graduate school, with significant financial assistance, these students will be exceptionally well prepared for whatever professional direction they choose to take. As future graduates of this world class University, they will have the world at their feet.”
