请问LZ农业高中也是fully selective public high school吗?
也是year 5 就要去考的吗?
官方解释如下(红字部分)
所以NSW的四所农业高中都是Fully Selective High
和其他精英中学一样需要在Year 5的时候报名,Year 6的时候考试入学。
Secondary Schools - Selective High Schools
Selective high schools provide an educationally enriched environment for highly achieving, academically gifted students.
Year 7 entry into these schools is determined by the student's results in the Selective High School Placement Test in English (including reading and writing), mathematics and general ability, together with their primary school's assessment of their performance in English and mathematics. Other evidence of academic merit may also be considered. Entry into Years 8 to 12 is determined using criteria developed by each school's selection committee.
From 2010, there will be 600 additional places for Year 7 entry, in 14 newly established partially selective high schools.
There will also be up to 30 places in a virtual selective class provision for students. Only students in Western NSW Region are able to access this option.
There are now 17 fully selective high schools, 23 high schools with selective classes (partially selective), 4 agricultural high schools (3 of which offer boarding places) and one virtual selective class provision offering selective placement in Year 7. There is also a senior high school, Sydney Secondary College, Blackwattle Bay Campus with selective classes offering entry to Years 11 and 12.
Partially selective high schools have both selective and community classes.
Sydney Secondary College Balmain and Leichhardt Campuses cater for students from Years 7 to 10. Students attending Sydney Secondary College Leichhardt or Balmain Campuses in Years 7 to 10 will generally proceed to Sydney Secondary College Blackwattle Bay Campus for Years 11 and 12.
Agricultural high schools are selective high schools which emphasise the study of agriculture. |
